Hi there!

My name is Kinga Balázs.

Petrolhead, photographer and woman, just to don’t make things as obvious.

I always had a thing for cars ever since childhood. I loved how they looked, where they can took you, the joy of travel with them, everything. Mainly because of this I ended up choosing to study about them at university and ended up after graduation in the automotive industry as an engineer.

Photography and the desire to capture infected me around 2011, when my financial situation allowed me to go try and meet all kind new things related to cars: carmeets, carshows, motorsport events, exhibitions. Also if I was there I just freakin’ loved to document it. A lot. But I started to feel the technical limitations of my compact camera then. So I decided, to make the next jump, and started to gather money for a new camera. I had my first encounter with dslr cameras before, but I thought aaah it’s too much for what I need.

But I had to realise I was wrong, as I entered deeper and deeper in photography literature. Books, magazines, youtube videos, specialized sites, and when I virtually noticed, the free space in my head was filled with photography. I still remember, that at that time I was daily updated with sites such as Speedhunters, Stancenation, StanceWorks and so on. I was reading them like the Big Book. My heart was pounding bigger at every article I red. I was amazed how many fantastic things are happening worldwide, how many creative people are out there, and at every picture I saw, I tried to figure out the camera settings, the perspectives the photographer used. In my mind there was a thought going through again and again: “I want to see this for myself and capture it for myself”. Finally 2013 was the year, when I raised enough pocket money to buy my first DSLR camera. With this the world became a much larger place for me, wich is evolving ever since, just like the universe we are living in. And I’m being sucked in deeper and deeper ever since.
